I want you to know that it is going to be alright. You should never fall into the pressures and expectations of those around you as much as you think that it is an obligation to do so. No one will walk your path, no one will be there for you always other than yourself. So no one has the right to force you and pressure you, not even your parents, your siblings, your wife or husband. No one. When you don’t know who you are it’s simply hard to make decisions, to know what you want. It’s basically impossible. And it’s very likely these people pressuring you don’t even know themselves and have simply fallen into the trap. So instead of allowing yourself to be turned into a puppet, into a robot, into a ghost… allow yourself to get to know you. Pursue interests, take risks, go on an adventure, make mistakes, read books… all these things will teach you who you are. You need to do things in order to learn what you like, what you don’t, what makes you feel bad and what makes you feel joy. It is only when you’ve acquired this knowledge of yourself that you can make decisions. That you can enjoy life. That you can know what to allow in others, what to look for in a relationship, in a friendship… what to look for in life itself. And there’s no deadline no one can put, no timeframe, no nothing. You shut everyone out, my dear, and simply do what you have to do and take the time that you have to take to get to know you. I promise, in the process, you will even fall in love with yourself. And that… that will be your greatest accomplishment ever.

This boy has down-syndrome. I saw this video of the dog approaching him and trying to play. Firstly, the boy was terrified. The dog was incredibly gentle and continued to nudge the boy and comfort him. Then after countless attempts, they become best friends.I think this is beautiful
